Ayorma Spa Fairness and Anti-tan facewash Review
This was a sample I received in one of my fabbags with the scrub I reviewed in my last post. I liked the packaging of this because even though it is not very artistic it is simple, sturdy and practical which is a very good thing, specially when it comes to samples. It was a really tiny tube, not bigger than 2 inches and I thought it will only last me two uses but it ended up lasting me till 3 weeks, which is a lot!
It looks like a gel inside the packaging with tiny exfoliating beads. It didn't look unpleasant from the outside, it looked like any other basic face wash.
It felt like a normal gel face wash when touched, nothing different. On using it, it does not lather as easily as other face washes but small quantities of the product do go a long way. Even though it doesn't foam up visibly, you can feel the product on the skin. The exfoliating beads seemed useless because in one use hardly two beads came out of the tube and they kind of just sat on my face till I rinsed them off. There is no exfoliation in that process really.
The smell is pleasant. It is fresh, citrusy and mildly fruity, identical to the scrub mentioned in my last post.
This product does work in the sense that it doesn't irritate the skin and gets rid of any uneven tan or sunburns. The fairness aspect however is something this company should focus much less on because nobody in modern day India is really looking for that. I quite liked this product and I will use it if I am vacationing in a place which is super sunny, like Goa, to sooth my skin from the harsh sun. I suggest using this in the morning because it is refreshing enough to wake you up.
It is available for sale on www.fabbag.com for Rs.349 which is pretty good for it's quality and packaging.
I probably will buy this again if I am going somewhere on vacation and am looking for a simple, affordable face wash that works well.
Do try it out and tell me how it works for you!
Sorry I have been gone for so long but don't worry now, I am back in full swing.
Love x

Ayorma Spa Fairness Daily Scrub Review
I received this tiny sample of this product in one of my fab bags and it lasted me about three weeks. It was a sample so I can’t really say much about the packaging of the product but I liked the fact that they gave it in a tube instead of a pouch because it’s just cleaner this way and the wastage is much less.
It smelled fresh, kind of a floral fruity scent with citrus hints which made this product perfect to use in the morning because the scent just wakes you up. It was a creamy white formula with extremely tiny exfoliating granules. The cream was quite light and didn’t feel heavy on the skin at all and the granules the very fine so it is not harsh on the skin at all and it very suitable for sensitive skin.
I personally have one complaint from most Indian beauty companies. I hate the fact that so much emphasis is put on the “Fairness” aspect of the product. I am against the idea that only fair skin is beautiful and I believe all skin tones are pretty. So if I hadn’t received this product and if I saw it in a store somewhere I probably wouldn’t buy it simply because of the word “fairness” used on the packaging.
This scrub is great if you have evident pores on your skin, or dry flaky skin, or even acne prone skin. It is a gentle enough scrub to not harm your skin but provide enough exfoliation to remove any of the impurities to make your skin clear. I was extremely happy with the effect this product had on my skin.
You can Purchase this product from www.fabbag.com and it is available for Rs.279 which is an amazing deal for it’s quality. I would have totally purchased this product again if it wasn’t for the whole fairness aspect of it because I am strongly against the idea. It is a great product for your skin, and I loved using it but because I want to kill this idea in the Indian society that “Fair is the only thing that’s pretty” I am not going to purchase this product again.
I am so sorry for posting this review so late, I had so much school work last week but now I promise I will be regular. I hope you found this review helpful and stay tuned for more like these.

Vana Vidhi Rice Scrub- A Meditative Blend Oriental Rice Paddy, Luxurious Face and Body Scrub Review
I received this in one of my fab bags this summer and I have been using this since the past month. I personally do not like the packaging of this product because the label kept coming off, the plastic jar wasn’t study enough and just the overall quality of the packaging was not suitable to store such an oily product. It is quite pretty looking however and looked really nice kept on my bathroom shelf.
The first thing I noticed about this product was it’s smell. It had a strong smell of camphor, lavender and even rice and smelled very similar to most ayurvedic balms. I did not like the smell of the oils in this scrub because i felt like they were too strong for my liking and I would have much preferred something milder.
This scrub is basically ground rice in a mixture of various scented oils, and the rice acts as an exfoliator where as the oil moisturises your skin. Stay away from this product if you have oily skin or acne problems on either your body or your face because it will make things much worse for you. If you have dry skin, this product will provide good enough hydration for your skin and might actually benefit you. The exfoliation however isn’t that effective and the ground rice didn’t remove my dry skin or ingrown hair. So as an exfoliator it was pretty much useless.
I wouldn’t buy this product again but if you wish to try it out, you can purchase it from www.fabbag.com and just search for it in the shopping section. I don’t think this is available in stores. It costs Rs.750 which is pretty steep for it’s quality but if you still want to try it out, go ahead.
